Roche Vice President Senich Honored at EWNJ 'Salute to Policy Makers'

NUTLEY, N.J., May 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Barbara Senich, B.S.N., M.B.A.,
M.P.H., Roche vice president, Sales and Marketing Services, was honored by
Executive Women of New Jersey (EWNJ) at its "Salute to the Policy Makers"
2008 Awards Dinner. The biennial event, held May 15, 2008 at the Hyatt
Regency New Brunswick, recognized women of professional distinction in New
Jersey who are senior executives or members of boards of directors at major
New Jersey-based corporations and organizations.

Senich, who joined Roche in 2004 in her current position, has extensive
experience in the pharmaceutical industry, especially in the areas of
managed care, pricing, market research and product marketing. She leads a
multifunctional area of eight departments including the Transplant
Therapeutic area, Account Management and others that provide critical
strategic and analytical support to the company's commercial operations.

Senich began her career in the pharmaceutical industry as a sales
representative and held a number of increasingly responsible marketing and
sales positions before coming to Roche. She holds an M.B.A. from Columbia
Business School and an M.P.H. from Columbia University. She earned a B.S.
in Nursing from the University of North Carolina, and is a board member of
the UNC-Chapel Hill School of Nursing Foundation. She also serves on the
advisory committee of the Women Business Leaders of the U.S.

Proceeds from the Salute to the Policy Makers 2008 Awards Dinner are
funding EWNJ's scholarship program, which has provided over $875,000 in
scholarships to more than 275 deserving New Jersey women enrolled in
advanced degree programs at N.J. institutions since 1986.

Public Service Enterprise Group (PSEG) Chairman of the Board, President
and CEO Ralph Izzo served as honorary chair of the event, at which Gwen
Ifill, Washington Week managing editor and senior correspondent for The
News Hour with Jim Lehrer was guest speaker. Distinguished honorary
chairpersons included N.J. Governor Jon Corzine, The Honorable Richard J.
Codey, The Honorable Donald T. DiFrancesco, The Honorable Christine Todd
Whitman, The Honorable James J. Florio, The Honorable Thomas H. Kean Sr.,
and The Honorable Brendan T. Byrne. Roche Public Affairs Vice President
Carolyn Glynn is a past EWNJ honoree.
